Your responsibilities

• Managing the financial accounting for multiple companies within our corporate group – from accounts payable and accounts receivable to bank and cash management to monthly financial statement preparation

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB as well as preparation of annual financial statements for the entire ARC Group

• Ensuring the quality of accounting and booking in close coordination with tax consultants, auditors, and banks

• Developing and standardizing our financial processes to ensure data quality for controlling and reporting

• Liquidity planning, payment transactions, and cash management – ensuring a stable financial foundation

• Active exchange and collaboration with banks for investment transactions

• Introduction of cost center and cost unit accounting as well as the establishment of profit centers

• Advising management on all financial matters and developing strategic KPIs for the department

• Leading and motivating a team of two employees

Your profile

• Completed education (certified accountant, tax specialist), degree in business administration/finance/accounting with a focus on accounting or similar qualifications

• Several years of solid professional experience in financial accounting – ideally in a medium-sized, internationally operating company with corporate or group structures

• Solid knowledge of HGB, tax and accounting law (including VAT, subsidiary books, and payment transactions) as well as practical experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements and communicating with auditors

• Experience in budget planning and control as well as knowledge of cost center logics and – as a plus – international accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)

• Very good Datev knowledge and Excel skills required

• Leadership experience: You know from first-hand or several years of practice how to structure, motivate, and lead a team in a goal-oriented manner

• Analytical skills and critical thinking: You work with a hands-on mentality, think entrepreneurially, and implement processes reliably, quality-oriented, and proactively

• Communication skills: Very good German and good to very good English skills – you communicate confidently with management, tax consultants, banks, international partners, and your team.

• Personality: You are an analytical thinker who acts responsibly, operates clearly and structured at all levels, and stands out for your initiative.
